I was picked up by Hassan with a driver in a big fancy car of the HEYDAR foundation (host of the YOUTH FOR ALLIANCE OF THE CIVILISATION CAMP)I was brought to the really nice PARK INN Hotel near the Kaspian Sea, where i got a really comfortable room but was left alone without knowing about other participants or when and where everything will start.
Next morning, after the really great breakfast buffet i went to register and attended the "OPENING", a serie of passionless speaches from so called VIP´s like the minister of sports and youth of Azerbaijan.
People seem to be muslims here but not very traditional and closed. A good part of the "youth" participants are wearing buissness dress.
The opening is proffessional and offical, a lot of cameras and "adults"( also VIP´s)
I learned about the actuall plan here:
a "powerfull" youthplatform shall be created to discuss the issues of EAST AND WEST
through UN and other platforms of "decissionmakers" this platform shall be launched.
The "youth" from all around the world ( very impressiv around 50 countries" shall create the steps towards the platform.
Then a discussion in the end, after the VIP´s left. I suggested to sit in a circle the next time as for Dialogue between cultures we should be able to see each other and to really do this. The other young people liked the sugestion and so the organisers ( seem to leave a lot of open space)...yeah, and now we gonna go to explore Baku...
and later insh´allah we gonna have a introduction-round and get to know the other participants-
greetings from between Russia, Iran and...mhhh, dont know...
